Charlamagne Tha God Critiques Lil Wayne

Charlamagne Tha God, while not a god himself, is quite the media personality. Charlamagne has an impressive resume under his belt. He hosts the radio show The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy and Angela Yee that airs on Power 105.1. In addition to this, he has also directed and acted in numerous films and has also played roles on some MTV television shows.

Just last year, he wrote a book titled “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It.” With all of these accomplishments, it is easy to see why he is as influential as he is.

On September 28th, Lil Wayne dropped his new album called Tha Carter V. On his radio show, Charlamagne had a lot to say in regards to Wayne’s newest creation. Initially, Charlamagne was not too positive about the album, even going as far as making fun of one of the songs “Let It Fly” featuring hip-hop artist Travis Scott. It appeared that he mocked Wayne’s flow and sang along to the melody of the Travis Scott-featured song while making up ridiculous lyrics to fit the tune.

However, after giving the entire album a few more listens, he took back his initial statements, stating on his instagram stating, “It’s definitely not wack like some of y’all saying and it’s definitely not album of the year like some of y’all saying but it’s Good.”

Charlamagne Tha God went onto say that while it was not Wayne’s best work, that it had no real impact on his career as a whole. According to Charlagmagne, Wayne secured his status as the GOAT, or greatest of all time, ten years ago.

Charlamagne closed his post by saying that in the grand scheme of things, he didn’t really care and that he wasn’t going to argue with people about it. Go To This Page for related information.

Overall, Charlamagne didn’t seem to care too much about the album itself. While initially, he seemed to be against the album, he quickly changed his tune and concluded that the album was good but not great. Hopefully, Lil Wayne’s next album will garner more praise from Charlamagne tha God.
